Weekly RUNdown

The Christmas countdown is well and truly on! Here’s some of what’s been happening in our industry - advertising, design and digital - over the last week.

  • In 2012 our Design Director Laura Cibilich started a personal project where she did a daily design of the date. This week we saw an artist who recreated the poop emoji in 50 different ways to celebrate its 10th anniversary, which reminded us of Laura’s work (in a good way).

  • Instagram users need no longer dig deep into third-party apps and technical workarounds to reshare other people’s content, with new ‘regram’ feature about to launch.

  • Living Coral is the 2019 Pantone colour of the year, set to be everywhere over next year.

  • Newsflash - Facebook’s 3 new features.

  • New figures show Amazon is the #3 Ad Platform, closing in on Facebook and Google.

  • Queensland’s ‘Guns For Christmas’ Billboard Labelled “Abhorrent”.

  • The highest-paid YouTube stars of 2018, including 7-year-old Ryan - and pretty disheartening to see no females on the list!

  • We’re huge fans of Squarespace and are loving their rebrand!
