The Māori new year is in full swing, with so much on lately celebrating Matariki, including an art installation of kites. Believed to be messengers, and like birds, they were considered to have spiritual connections with the gods. Community tare being asked to write down their own messages to the Atua and loved ones in the interactive installation.
